Yesterday, I was blog-walking and ended up in Datie’s Blog. I found out a quite interesting post, about predicting the future. Just a day before, Chyntya was asked me about those kind of things too, future-and-believe-in-prophecy’s-thingy, and about a week ago, I was chatting with Dini, and she wished that she had a power to know what the future likes.
Well, I know some people that wishes the same thing, having a power to know the future. I couldn’t help but wonder, why would they wanted those kind of things?
What’s the fun of life if the future is predictable? Coz life will just be a straight-plain-ol’ another Monday then.
Besides, I believe that there’s no such things called prophecy, second-sight, divination, or whatever it called, coz our future isn’t written in the stone yet. How could we supposed to know when it’s not written yet?
The future is not something definite, something that certainly will happen, it is more likely adapting, based on our reaction to challenges in life.
Well, in my opinion, our life is split into two, fate and destiny. Destiny is something that we can change, while fate is something that we can’t avoided no matter what. But, no worries, most of it are destinies, though. =)
I’m always wondering, that maybe, in this life, God is playing chess with us. He makes moves in our life, and then sits back to see how we react toward the challenges.
It’s the beauty of being human, really, that we are the only creature that given a “free will” by God, so that we have options, we can choose how to react.
After choosing our step, again, God will make another move, this time based on our reaction, just like playing chess.
Thats likely a destiny is, we can choose our own path of life, which steps we would like to take, in order to answer the challenges given by God.
BUT, you have to remember, no matter how’d you reacted, there’s always a fate along the way.
Maybe the paths are different, but wherever steps we took, whatever paths we chose, sometimes, it will ended up in the same way, um, for example, your pawns will be dead.
So, just be sure that we make our best moves before the checkmate comes. =)
What did they say?
